It's simple, and we're going to keep it simple! Refer your friends to Opticnetworks and receive up to 10% back of everything that they spend... Forever!

Depending on the amount of referrals you referred to Opticnetworks, your commission earned will vary between 3% and 10% of anything that they spend at Opticnetworks. Not only will you earn, but your referral that you referred will also receive between 3% and 10% discount on their service fees for the first month! It's a win, win situation.

How much commission will I earn?

Commission earned is credited to your account every month in areas, based on the amount of referrals that you referred to Opticnetworks. The rates are broken down as follows:

11 to 25 5% of total monthly spend R 750.00
26 to 45 7% of total monthly spend R 750.00
46 or more 10% of total monthly spend R 750.00

Should you for example have 65 active referrals that you referred to Opticnetworks, you will receive 3% on the first 10 referrals (10 or less), 5% on the next 15 (11 to 25), 7% on the next 20 (26 to 45), and 10% on the remainder of your referrals (46 to 65). Commission earned is automatically allocated as credit to your invoice and should your commission become more than your invoice value, your account will go into credit. If more than R 750.00 credit is due on your account, you can request Opticnetworks to transfer the money as cash to your South African bank account.

Must I be an active Opticnetworks subscriber to become an affiliate?

Yes! Commission earned is exclusively available to active subscribers only (you must have an active service for which you pay an monthly invoice). Commission earned is credited to your account every month in arrears.

Should your account be closed or suspended for any reason (including non-payment), your referral status will reset and you will loose all the referrals that you have already referred. Similarly, should a referral that you referred have his or her account closed and/or suspended for any reason (including non-payment), your referral's account will be removed from your referral list, and you will not earn commission on any future purchases from the referral.

How do I refer?

Simply create links to the Opticnetworks web site, or specific services on our web site which you want to refer for. Once your referral signs up, he or she will have the opportunity to provide your 6-letter account code (available through the Client Zone, and on all invoices) during the sign-up process. If the account code is a valid Opticnetworks customer, your referral's account will be linked to yours and you will earn commission on his or her purchases, whilst he or she will receive between 3% and 10% discount based on where your current commission rate lies on their first month's invoice.

What happens if one of my referrals cancels his or her service?

You will no longer receive commission for the service that has been canceled.

What can I do with my earned commission?

Your earned commission is automatically credited to all active services which Opticnetworks invoices you for on a monthly basis. Commission not allocated as credit will automatically carry over and be allocated the following months (i.e. you will not loose commission earned), and should your available credit be more than R750.00 after all your paid for services has been credited fully, you may request Opticnetworks to transfer the remaining credit to your South African Bank account, by means of EFT payment.

Referral Commissions: Terms and Conditions

Definitions:

  • "AFFILIATE" is a person who refers another.
  • "REFERRAL" is a person who has been referred by an AFFILIATE.
  • "REFERRED SERVICE" denotes a service that has been referred by an AFFILIATE.

  1. Payment must first be made by the REFERRAL, before the AFFILIATE can receive their commission.
  2. Successfully REFERRED SERVICE(s) will be allocated to the AFFILIATE's account within 24 hours of the REFERRAL settling the invoice for the REFERRED SERVICE.
  3. All services will produce commission equal to the AFFILIATE's current commission rate of the ex VAT amount. Commission will be awarded at the same interval as the service billing cycle (e.g. monthly, quarterly and yearly.)
  4. If a REFERRAL cancels their service, the AFFILIATE will receive no further commission for that REFERRED SERVICE.
  5. Specials and discounts applied to REFERRED SERVICE will proportionally reduce the amount of commission allocated to the AFFILIATE.
  6. AFFILIATEs will not earn commission by referring services to themselves.
  7. AFFILIATEs are required to hold at least one active service from Opticnetworks, with an account in good standing order at all times.
  8. No interest is earned on commission.
  9. All commission earned will be used as credit on the AFFILIATE's account. Any excess, should it exceed R750.00, can be paid out as cash to the AFFILIATE's South African bank account (proof of Bank Account required).
  10. Opticnetworks reserves the right to apply a 2% transaction fee to cash payouts.
  11. Opticnetworks reserves the right to terminate, discontinue or amend the AFIILIATE commission terms and conditions at any stage.
